Honey tourism became very popular in our country. This summer the brand new attraction for the tourists in Nessebar was the jeep safari combined with visiting a bee-garden. Kiril Kirov created a museum of the bee in the village of Kosharitsa, near Nessebar. It is a favorite place for the adventurous tourists. There you can see reproduced models of bee homes from the Stone Age till now instead of casual beehives.The foreigners don’t miss to buy from the elixir, which is provided in different types- pure, with nuts, with ground baked sesame – seed, even with pieces of beeswax. This is the biggest guarantee for quality because the honey is being produced in front of their eyes. The tourists can’t stay indifferent to the honey wine and rakiya.Kirov offers the most adventurous visitors to become bee-masters for half an hour. After brief instructions and special protective clothes, those who want can open their selves a hive with bees and examine them closely. Meeting with the bee family is a very strong emotion and the volunteers become more and more. Honey tourism is a niche which if used correct could give the faith back in the quality of the Bulgarian honey. It can vary the tour product and to make it more competitive and unique. On 1st September there was a festival of the honey in Nessebar.
